In the Nature Reserve, the entrances are clearly marked with information on the main limitations and prohibitions to be respected.
During your visit, you must maintain behavior that respects the natural environment. The main prohibitions are explained below in a simple manner:

It is forbidden to bring dogs even on a leash

It is forbidden access, including pedestrian access, throughout Zone “A” (14 fountains and Borromeo Canal)

It is forbidden to leave the paths and enter the waterways
It is forbidden to introduce foreign animal or plant species


Access by motorized vehicles is prohibited , with the exception of service vehicles and those required for agricultural and forestry activities.


It is forbidden to collect, remove or damage spontaneous flora
Fishing and hunting are prohibited.
It is forbidden to fly drones over the area.

Camping is prohibited

It is forbidden to cut down trees unless expressly authorised by the managing body.
OFFENDERS WILL BE PUNISHED ACCORDING TO THE LAW
Below is the complete list of prohibitions and restrictions (Resolution of the President of the Regional Council of 15 November 1984 - n. 111/1801)
Prohibitions and limits on human activities. In the nature reserve area it is prohibited:
1) construct new buildings, as well as carry out interventions in existing ones not aimed at ordinary and extraordinary maintenance, consolidation, restoration, restructuring or conservative redevelopment without altering the volumes, except for the creation or modernization of the sanitary and service systems of the homes;
2) create new production facilities, including livestock production, and expand existing ones;
3) build infrastructure, except as provided for in the reserve plan and directly carried out by the managing body or by the same authorized body;
4) open new roads, asphalt, widen or carry out the transformation of use of existing ones; XII
5) cultivate quarries, peat bogs and extract aggregates and carry out any activity that causes substantial changes to the morphology of the soil;
6) carry out hydraulic reclamation interventions in wetlands;
7) implement interventions that modify the regime or composition of the water;
8) plant artificial poplar groves or other fast-growing tree crops;
9) hunting; the area may be declared a protected area pursuant to Regional Law 47/78, art. 12;
10) change the land's destination to forest;
11) carry out forest felling unless authorised by the management body pursuant to Regional Law 27 January 1977, no. 9;
12) carry out any intervention that involves a change in the crop destination, or a transformation of the use of the woods, except as provided for in the plan and directly carried out by the managing body, or by the same authorised, pursuant to Regional Law 27 January 1977, n. 9;
13) cut trees, whether isolated or in rows, as well as tree and shrub hedges along the edges of roads, bodies of water, or cultivated land, unless authorized by the managing body pursuant to Regional Law no. 9 of January 27, 1977;
14) introduce foreign animal and plant species;
5) bring dogs even on a leash;
16) build fixed fences, unless they are made with green hedges and species typical of the area, authorised by the managing body;
17) collect or damage spontaneous flora, except for the activities foreseen by the plan and scientific research, carried out directly by the managing body or authorised by the same;
18) establish landfills and permanent or temporary deposits of discarded materials, even if in a controlled manner;
19) transit with motorized vehicles, with the exception of service vehicles and those required for agricultural and forestry activities;
20) carry out advertising activities, organize folklore or sporting events, and carry out camping;
21) carry out studies and research that involve taking samples from nature or other exemptions from the prohibitions, unless authorised by the management body;
22) carry out any other temporary activity indicated in the plan that would alter the quality of the environment incompatible with the purposes of the reserve. b) Within the buffer zone, the works, interventions, and activities referred to in paragraphs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, and 22 of the previous letter (a) are prohibited. It is also prohibited to drive motorized vehicles outside of municipal and local roads burdened by public right-of-way, with the exception of service vehicles and those required for agricultural or forestry activities.
23) Drone flights over areas above nature reserves are prohibited. Flights must be approved by the managing body.
Regarding access with dogs, offenders will be punished with a fine ranging from €25.82 to €258.22 as provided for by art. 30 of Regional Law 86/1983.
